    In my role as an Experience Architect at Organic, I worked with a team of creatives to re-design the websites of four Smuckers brands: Santa Cruz Organic, R.W. Knudsen Family, Dickinson's, and Crosse & Blackwell.     Along with a team of fellow U-M students, I co-founded and served as the user experience architect of Thrively, a professional development web application. In residence at TechArb--the U-M student startup incubator--for the 2011 season, we placed second in the Michigan Business Model Competition and Bay Area Entrepreneurial Pitch Contest, and were recipients of Dare to Dream Venture Shaping and JumpStart grants.  I am no longer working with the organization, but our beta application is live and continued development is on-going.

  • Are You a Human

    As a part of my Evaluation of Systems & Services course, I worked with a team to evaluate Are You a Human's customer portal. We conducted stakeholder interviews, a comparative analysis, heuristic reviews, a user survey, and generated an interaction map and user personas. With each deliverable, we documented recommended changes that our client could make to increase the usability of their customer portal, some of which have already been exercised.

  • Walter P. Reuther Library

    As an intern for the Emerging Communities grant program, I researched and designed the digitization workflow and online access of the oral history collection at Walter P. Reuther Library at Wayne State University. The collection included hundreds of audio and video materials, as well as text transcripts. I also designed the information architecture for the access nodes on the library's Drupal-powered website.

  • University Unions Graphic Design Office

    In my consultancy with the University Unions Graphic Design Office at University of Michigan, I researched, defined, and wrote the digital preservation plan for the vector graphics and associated digital assets of the office. After the planning was compete, I converted over 350Gb of legacy content to long-term preservation files and selected the files for transfer to the University Archives.  Further work with the Digital Curation unit at the Bentley Historical Library included collection development and digital access via U-M's digital archive Deep Blue.
